I. Prior to the enrollment of new students, a meeting for parents of new students is convened, inviting the Chair of Department, Department Assistant, mentors, and relevant units to introduce the resources available within the university. A preliminary understanding of the new students is also obtained during the meeting.
II. For graduating students, a transition counseling meeting for students with physical and mental disabilities is held in the semester prior to graduation. Representatives from the Labor Bureau of the local county or city government where the university is located, and the Employment Services Center of the Workforce Development Agency of the Executive Yuan are invited to participate, providing employment information and follow-up employment services.
III. During the academic period, students are offered a series of activities such as career exploration at irregular intervals, assisting students in planning their career paths as early as possible.
Life Counseling
I. Peer Assistance: Assisting such as note-taking, personal care, and study companions for students in need.
II. Assistive Device Borrowing: Assisting students in need to contact the R&D Center of Product Innovation and Assistive Technology for evaluation and borrowing of assistive devices.
III. Part-Time Job: Providing part-time job opportunities for students to assist in the operation and management of resource classrooms.
Academic Counseling
I. Understanding of Learning Issues: Assisting in understanding students' learning problems, providing correct learning strategies or academic reinforcement.
II. Academic Reinforcement: Providing academic guidance to students who need learning assistance, guided by the course teacher or a Teaching Assistant or student recommended by the course teacher.
Psychological Counseling
I. Individual Counseling: Based on the individual needs of students, individual counseling is provided to assist in resolving students' issues.
II. Group Counseling: The Counseling Center periodically organizes various groups or workshops, such as self-exploration, interpersonal relationships, intimate relationships, career exploration, life education, etc. Interested individuals are welcome to actively register and participate.
III. Psychological Testing: Various tests are provided to assist students in self-exploration, such as personality traits, interests/orientation, mental health/life adaptation, and interpersonal relationships, etc.
