Since the 1997 academic year, Yuntech's Counseling Center has been responsible for coordinating all counseling work for students with special educational needs. By the 2000 academic year, the number of students with special educational needs who received key subsidies from the Ministry of Education had reached 8. The Ministry of Education has provided subsidies for the establishment of a resource classroom for students with special educational needs, starting from January 1, 2001.
The resource classroom was put into use on June 8, 2001, and it is currently equipped with an office area, a social area, a tutoring discussion area, a reading and self-study area, and a computer workstation area for students to use. It is hoped that the establishment of the resource classroom at Yuntech can provide students with special educational needs with the most appropriate and comprehensive services, making it a warm and loving home filled with both emotion and intellect throughout their learning journey at Yuntech.
