Establishment Guidelines for setting up the Counseling and Counseling Center
Article 1: To promote and maintain the psychological health and holistic development of all faculty and staff, and to strengthen student counseling work, Yuntech has established the "National Yunlin University of Science and Technology Counseling Center" (hereinafter referred to as the Center) in accordance with Article 7 of Yuntech's Organizational Regulations.
Article 2: The Center provides three levels of counseling - developmental, interventional, and dispositional - in accordance with Article 6 of the Student Counseling Act. The services include:
Implementation of individual counseling and guidance.
Implementation of group counseling and guidance.
Implementation and interpretation of psychological tests.
Promotion of mental health education.
Student transition counseling and services.
Provision of various consultation services.
Counseling for students with physical and mental disabilities.
Handling of mentorship duties.
Organization of on-campus and off-campus counseling capability training activities.
Publication of mental health education promotion and related materials.
Lending of mental health books and audio-visual equipment.
Research on counseling-related issues.
Other counseling-related work.
Article 3: The Center has one Director, appointed by the President from among full-time Associate Professors or
above, or staff of equivalent rank, who have expertise in the field of psychological counseling and guidance. The
Director oversees the Center's operations.
Article 4: Depending on operational needs, the Center employs several staff members, whose positions are allocated
from within the school's total staff quota. In accordance with Article 11 of the Student Counseling Act, the Center
also employs several professional counseling staff to promote the Center's counseling-related work. Additionally,
depending on actual needs, the Center may hire experts, scholars, and relevant counseling personnel from within and
outside the school to conduct individual counseling, group counseling, class discussions, and counseling
consultations, and to assist the Center in promoting various tasks according to the annual work plan.
Article 5: The Center should submit the next year's work plan and budget to the "Counseling and Guidance Committee"
for review before the end of the current year.
Article 6: These Guidelines are implemented upon approval by the President, and the same applies when amendments are
made
